Tuscaloosa, AL (Best E Casino) - Mark Ingram ran for 113 yards and two touchdowns, leading second-ranked Alabama to a 35-0 rout of Arkansas State at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Glen Coffee and Roy Upchurch also scored rushing touchdowns for Alabama (9-0), which will return to conference action next week with a huge SEC West showdown at LSU.

The Crimson Tide racked up 205 rushing yards, 56 for Coffee and 31 for Upchurch, and 357 total yards, while holding Arkansas State to just 158 yards of offense.

Reggie Arnold ran for 72 yards on 15 carries for Arkansas State (4-4), which has lost two in a row. Corey Leonard completed just 8-of-17 passes for 67 yards with an interception in defeat.

Alabama scored on its initial possession, marching 89 yards on 16 plays in just over seven minutes. Coffee started it with a nine-yard run and finished it with a nine-yard touchdown jaunt.

John Parker Wilson was intercepted in the end zone on Alabama's next series and the Tide punted after their third offensive try.

The Alabama defense, though, held Arkansas State to just one first down on its first three possessions and came through with a score midway through the second quarter as Rashad Johnson returned an interception 32 yards to make it 14-0.

Leigh Tiffin missed a 37-yard field goal for Alabama in the final minute of the second quarter, but the Tide doubled their advantage in the third.

Upchurch completed a four-play, 70-yard drive on the first series of the second half with a 22-yard touchdown run and Ingram finished a 48-yard march late in the third quarter with a five-yard scoring run to give the Tide a 28-0 cushion.

Ingram scored again on a 17-yard run with 4:37 remaining to account for the final margin.

Game Notes
