Charlotte, NC (Best E Casino) - Carolina Panthers left tackle Jordan Gross left Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons in the first quarter. With 9:45 left to play in the first, Gross was running across the field to make a tackle on DeAngelo Williams. At the end of the play Gross was seen laying face down on the field. It was unclear of the injury, but it appeared that the tackle was kneed in the head by a defender. A stretcher was sent on the field for Gross but he waved it off and departed on the back of a cart, pumping his fist to rile up the crowd on his way to the locker room. Carolina moved Travelle Wharton to left tackle and Geoff Hangartner came in to play left guard.
