Washington, DC (Best E Casino) - Cardinals defensive end Bertrand Berry will miss Arizona's game against the New York Jets on Sunday with a groin tear. Arizona head coach Ken Whisenhunt told the team's web site on Thursday that Berry had to fly back to Phoenix because of the injury. The Cardinals are practicing at Catholic University in Washington, DC this week instead of returning to Arizona for the week between two games on the East Coast. The Cardinals (2-1) lost to the Redskins, 24-17, in Washington this past Sunday, and travel to the Meadowlands to take on the Jets on Sunday. Berry, in his 12th year in the league out of Notre Dame, has had a good start to this season, with three sacks in three games. Berry, 33, has not registered double-digit sacks in a season since he had 14 1/2 for the Cardinals in 2004, his first campaign with the club. He has 57 sacks with the Cardinals, Denver Broncos, and Indianapolis Colts, who selected him in the third round of the 1997 draft.
