Columbus, OH (Best E Casino) - Ohio State coach Jim Tressel announced Tuesday that running back Chris "Beanie" Wells is probable to play this Saturday when the 14th-ranked Buckeyes host Minnesota. Wells has been out the previous three games due to an injured right foot. He was hurt during Ohio State's season-opening victory over Youngstown State, then sat out games against Ohio, top-ranked USC and Troy. The 35-3 final against USC is Ohio State's lone loss this season. "I think it adds to our arsenal," said Tressel. "He's a good back." Wells was hurt in the third quarter of the 43-0 rout against Youngstown State on August 30, as he appeared to slip on the turf while taking a handoff near the goal line. He was helped off the field and carted into the locker room before returning to the sideline with a walking boot. Before leaving the contest, Wells had already run for 111 yards on 13 carries with a 43-yard scoring jaunt, notching his 10th career 100-yard game. Wells rushed for 1,609 yards and 15 touchdowns as a sophomore last season.
