Austin, TX (Best E Casino) - University of Texas tight end Blaine Irby will miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery to repair a dislocated right knee. Irby suffered the injury in Texas' 52-10 win over Rice on Saturday. The sophomore had started all three games for the Longhorns this season, and posted 10 catches for 95 yards and two scores. Texas head coach Mack Brown indicated Irby could use a medical redshirt so he doesn't lose a season of eligibility, but it is unclear if Irby will do so.
