(Best E Casino) - The Washington Nationals will kick off a four-game series against the Atlanta Braves tonight at Turner Field.

The Nationals will send Shairon Martis to the hill for his major league debut on Thursday. Martis went 1-2 with a 3.02 earned run average in seven starts with Triple-A Columbus. The 6-1, 175-pound right-hander is taking the place of injured starter Collin Balester.

For the Braves, young southpaw Jo-Jo Reyes looks for his first win since June 13.

He was 3-4 following a June 13 defeat of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, allowing five hits and two runs over eight innings, but has gone 0-6 in 10 outings since.

The Braves have lost nine straight games in which he's appeared.

Reyes got a no-decision after a four-inning stint against Washington and Jason Bergmann on August 30, allowing eight hits and four runs.

His one other 2008 matchup with the Nationals ended in a July 20 loss after he was ripped for seven hits and six runs in 2 1/3 innings.

On Wednesday in Washington, Ronnie Belliard had the go-ahead RBI single in the eighth and Cristian Guzman hit a bases-clearing, three-run double to put the game out of reach as Washington notched a 9-7 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies in the rubber match of a three-game set from Nationals Park.

Ryan Zimmerman homered and doubled to finish with two RBI, while Guzman finished with three hits and a pair of runs scored for Washington, which has won an impressive eight of nine overall.

Saul Rivera (5-5) got the win after pitching a scoreless eighth.

In Miami, Cody Ross' run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh inning proved to be the difference as Florida downed Atlanta, 5-3, in the rubber match of a three-game set at Dolphin Stadium.

Kelly Johnson was 2-for-3 with a two-run triple for the struggling Braves, who have lost 18 of their last 23 games.

Jorge Campillo started on the hill and allowed three runs on four hits with three walks and seven strikeouts in five innings. Will Ohman (4-1) lost after allowing a run in one inning of relief.

Washington is 10-4 against Atlanta this season, with a 3-2 mark in Dixie.
