Anaheim, CA (Best E Casino) - Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim shortstop Maicer Izturis left Wednesday's 10-7 loss to the Seattle Mariners in the top of the ninth with an injury to his thumb.

Yuniesky Betancourt hit a grounder towards the left side of the infield and Izturis ran to his right and dove for the ball. The ball rolled into the outfield and Izturis remained on the ground favoring his left hand.

Izturis was 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles an RBI and scored twice before being replaced by Erick Aybar at short.
