Los Angeles, CA (Best E Casino) - University of Southern California starting quarterback Mark Sanchez was carted off the field Friday with an apparent left knee injury. The Los Angeles Times reported that Sanchez, who won the starting job in spring practice over Arkansas transfer Mitch Mustain, fell to the ground before the Trojans began stretching exercises. Sanchez, a 6-foot-3 junior, appeared in seven games last season, including three starts in place of the injured John David Booty. He completed 69-of-114 passes for 695 yards and seven touchdowns with five interceptions.
