Denver, CO (Best E Casino) - Wednesday's game between the Colorado Rockies and Washington Nationals was postponed because of rain. The teams will play a doubleheader on Thursday, with the first game scheduled for 3:05 p.m. (et). The second game will start approximately 25 minutes after the conclusion of the first. Rockies pitcher Jeff Francis was slated to start Wednesday's game after being activated from the 15-day disabled list earlier in the day. The 27-year-old lefty had been sidelined for over a month with inflammation in his left shoulder. Francis is now scheduled to pitch Thursday's first game, facing the Nationals' Jason Bergmann. Colorado's Ubaldo Jimenez is set to oppose Washington's Odalis Perez in the second matchup.
