Arlington, TX (Best E Casino) - New York Yankees pitcher Joba Chamberlain left in the fifth inning of Monday's 9-5 loss to the Texas Rangers with a stiff right shoulder. Chamberlain returned to New York on Tuesday and had the shoulder examined. The club did not reveal the results of the MRI, but has made plans for Chamberlain to visit Dr. James Andrews in Alabama for a second opinion. After Texas' Marlon Byrd singled with two outs in the bottom of the fifth, New York manager Joe Girardi and trainer Steve Donohue came out to check on Chamberlain, who pointed to his right shoulder. The 22-year-old could not continue and was lifted for Edwar Ramirez. Chamberlain gave up five runs on eight hits before exiting. It was the worst outing for Chamberlain since being inserted into the Yankees rotation in early June as he had not allowed more than three runs in any of his previous starts. Girardi confirmed that Chamberlain will miss at least one start.
