Anaheim, CA (Best E Casino) - The Baltimore Orioles have placed outfielder Adam Jones on the 15-day disabled list with a fractured left foot. The move is retroactive to August 3 and comes after Jones fouled a pitch off his foot August 2 against Seattle. Acquired in the trade that sent lefty Erik Bedard to Seattle, Jones has posted a .279 average with seven homers and 50 runs batted in 108 games this season. To replace Jones on the roster, the team selected the contract of outfielder Luis Montanez from Double-A Bowie. The 26-year-old was leading the Eastern League in batting average (.335), home runs (26) and RBI (97) at the time of his promotion. To make room for Montanez on the 40-man roster, the Orioles transferred pitcher Adam Loewen to the 60-day DL.
