New York, NY (Best E Casino) - Kansas City Royals pitcher Zack Greinke and catcher Miguel Olivo were each suspended five games by Major League Baseball for their roles in a series of incidents during Sunday's 14-3 win over the Chicago White Sox. Additionally, Royals manager Trey Hillman was suspended one game, while White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen was handed a two-game sentence. All four were fined undisclosed amounts. Hillman will serve his suspension Tuesday, when Kansas City hosts Boston. Likewise, Guillen will begin his suspension Tuesday as the White Sox play Detroit. Olivo and Greinke have both elected to appeal. Olivo was suspended for charging the mound and throwing a punch in the fifth inning. Chicago pitcher D.J. Carrasco hit Olivo with a pitch, prompting the catcher to run to the mound and both benches to clear. Olivo and Carrasco were ejected following the incident, leading to Guillen's ejection after arguing and making contact with umpire Tim Timmons. Guillen's suspension also stemmed from his comments after the game. "I'm not going to bring in a guy who throws 85 miles per hour to hit somebody," Guillen said following Sunday's contest. "I'll bring in (Octavio) Dotel. I'll bring in (Matt) Thornton, then I will tell them to hit him. That's the way I do business. When my players hit somebody, it's because I tell them to hit somebody and I will take full responsibility after the fact." Greinke got involved in the seventh inning, when he hit Chicago's Nick Swisher. He was then thrown out, along with Hillman.
