Kirkland, WA (Best E Casino) - Seattle Seahawks offensive lineman Chris Gray announced his retirement Monday, just a few days after being told a back injury would not allow him to continue playing. Gray was hurt on the second day of training camp after hitting a blocking sled. Team doctors informed him this past weekend that damage to his spine was significant. The 38-year-old Auburn product spent 15 years in the NFL and the last 11 with Seattle. He set a Seahawks record by starting 121 consecutive games at either guard or center until missing the final contest of the 2006 season with a leg contusion. Gray was selected by Miami in the fifth round of the 1993 draft. He played four seasons with the Dolphins before spending the 1997 campaign with Chicago, then joined Seattle in 1998 as a free agent.
