Auburn Hills, MI (Best E Casino) - The Detroit Pistons signed free agent big man Kwame Brown on Monday. Terms were not disclosed but The Detroit Free Press previously reported Brown agreed to a two-year, $8 million dollar deal. "We are pleased to add Kwame Brown to our roster," said Pistons president of basketball operations Joe Dumars. "Kwame is a player that gives us depth at the center position and we feel that he will have the opportunity to grow within our system." The 26-year-old Brown spent the first part of last season with the Lakers before being traded to Memphis in the deal that brought Pau Gasol to Los Angeles. Brown played in 23 games for the Lakers and averaged 5.7 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. He then participated in 15 contests for the Grizzlies and had 3.5 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. During his career, a span of 404 games with Washington, LA and Memphis, Brown has averaged 7.5 points and 5.7 boards.
