(Best E Casino) - Cliff Lee tries to become the American League's first 15- game winner this evening when the Cleveland Indians begin a three-game series with the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field.

Lee, who is one win behind Arizona's Brandon Webb for the major league lead, has been one of the biggest surprises in the league this season, going 14-2 with a 2.58 earned run average. He did not get a decision on Wednesday against the Detroit Tigers, as he matched a season-high by allowing six runs along with 10 hits in five innings of his team's 14-12 setback.

The 29-year-old lefty tossed six scoreless innings to beat the Rays earlier in the year and is 5-2 lifetime against them with a 2.30 ERA in nine starts.

Cleveland lost two of three over the weekend to the Minnesota Twins and has dropped four of six overall.

As big of a surprise as Lee has been, there have been none bigger this season than the Rays, who enter tonight's opener with a three-game lead on the Boston Red Sox in the American League East.

However, the Indians have had their way this season with the Rays, winning all four matchups with them. Cleveland is also 18-3 in the series since the start of the 2006 campaign and has won nine of its last 13 at the Trop.

The Rays continued to win on Sunday, as Carlos Pena drew a game-ending, bases- loaded walk in the bottom of the 10th inning, lifting Tampa Bay past the Detroit Tigers, 6-5, to complete a three-game sweep at Tropicana Field.

After Miguel Cabrera's leadoff home run in the top of the 10th off Troy Percival gave the Tigers a 5-4 lead, the Rays took advantage of a wild Fernando Rodney to mount a comeback in the bottom half.

B.J. Upton finished 2-for-4 with a double and a two-run homer for the Rays, who have won five in a row overall.

Percival blew his third save of the season, yielding two runs in 1 1/3 innings, but Trever Miller (1-0) recorded the last two outs in the 10th to get the win for Tampa Bay.

Miller did not have a decision in his previous 121 outings -- a major league record -- dating to a victory over the Atlanta Braves on September 30, 2006 as a member of the Houston Astros.

Getting the call for the Rays tonight will be righty Matt Garza, who tossed his first shutout his last time out. Garza scattered five hits to beat the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday, as he improved to 9-6 on the season, while lowering his ERA to 3.56.

Garza, who is 0-2 in four starts against the Tribe, is 6-1 with a 2.10 ERA in 10 home starts this season.
