Seattle, WA (Best E Casino) - Raul Ibanez hit a two-run single in the seventh to lead the
Seattle Mariners in an 8-4 win over the
Baltimore Orioles, salvaging the finale of the three-game set at Safeco Field.
J.J. Putz (3-4) threw 1 1/3 scoreless innings to get the win in relief of Carlos Silva, who allowed four runs on nine hits in 6 2/3 innings. Silva struck out two and walked one in his longest outing since going eight innings on July 8 against Oakland.
Ibanez finished the game 2-for-3 with three runs batted in while Jeremy Reed drove home two more runs for the Mariners, who have won two of their last four contests.

Jeff Clement's RBI single in the eighth gave the Mariners another insurance run, extending the lead to 8-4.

The Orioles struck right back in the second. Aubrey Huff singled, and two batters later Millar put runners on the corners with another single. Scott drove in a run with a single to center, and Quiroz drove home another run with a double to right, tying the score at two runs apiece.
