Thomas was placed on the disabled list on May 29, retroactive to May 28, with tendinitis in his right quadricep. Released by the Toronto Blue Jays on April 20 after batting .167 with three home runs and 11 RBI in 16 games, the 19-year veteran signed with the A's on April 24 and was hitting .319 with four home runs and 16 RBI in 28 games with Oakland before the injury. |
