Edmonton, AB (Best E Casino) - Edmonton Eskimos receiver Jason Tucker had neck surgery on Sunday and is recovering in the hospital. "The operation went very well and Jason is resting comfortably," said Eskimo President and CEO Rick LeLacheur. Tucker will have more tests done and may return to Edmonton by the end of the week. It was announced on Saturday that Tucker will miss the remainder of the season due to the injury. Tucker was taken off the field in an ambulance early in the fourth quarter of Friday's 19-13 win over Hamilton after a scary helmet-to-helmet collision with Tiger-Cats defensive back Jykine Bradley. In five games this season, Tucker caught 14 balls for 235 yards and two touchdowns. "An injury like this very quickly puts the game of football in it's proper perspective," said Edmonton head coach Danny Maciocia. "Jason means so much to this team, his tremendous talent and determined leadership are an inspiration."
