Kansas City, MO (Best E Casino) - The Kansas City Chiefs agreed to terms with defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey on a six-year contract Saturday, ending the specter of a prolonged holdout by the fifth overall pick in April's draft. Per club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. "We're pleased to announce the signing of the first of our two number one draft choices," said Chiefs president Carl Peterson. "We all know Glenn is an outstanding football player and we expect and hope that he will make great contributions to the Kansas City Chiefs. Even though it took a little longer than we had hoped, Glenn has missed only a couple of walk-through practices and we expect he'll be involved very quickly." The 6-foot-2, 316-pound Dorsey was a possible No. 1 pick, but the Dolphins went with Michigan offensive tackle Jake Long. The first-team All-America selection fell to five, allowing the Chiefs to snap him up. Dorsey compiled 69 tackles and seven sacks in 14 games for LSU last season. In 51 games (30 starts) for the Tigers, Dorsey was a dominating force on the defensive line, racking up 179 tackles, 13 sacks and 27 tackles for loss.
