(Best E Casino) - The LA Angels of Anaheim will put their tremendous road record to the test when they take on the
Baltimore Orioles tonight in the second installment of a three-game set at Camden Yards.
The Angels, who are an outstanding 32-18 on the road this season, began a 10- game road swing last night against the O's, and will continue their trek against the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees next week.
Jon Garland will head to the hill for the Angels and will try to push the team's winning streak to three games. The last time the right-hander was on the hill he tossed a strong game against the Red Sox, allowing just three runs (two earned) in 6 2/3 innings. However, despite the strong performance, Garland did not factor in the decision.
Away from home this season the 28-year-old has a 5-2 ledger in eight starts, but has a lackluster ERA of 4.17.
Earlier this season Garland has his way with the O's, limiting Baltimore to just one run on three hits in eight innings of work.
As for the Orioles they will look to Radhames Liz to bring the team back into the win column. Liz, who was called up from AAA Norfolk back on June 3rd, has been inconsistent in his first stint in the majors, posting a 4-2 ledger with a 7.19 ERA.
However, the last time the young hurler took the hill he put forth a mediocre effort in an 8-3 victory over Toronto. Liz held the Blue Jays to just three runs on five hits, but did walk six batters, while striking out four in 5 2/3 innings.
In four starts at Camden Yards this season, Liz has a 2-1 ledger, but his ERA is atrocious as it stands at 5.82.
Last night, Casey Kotchman hit a two-run home run as the Angels took a 6-5 win against the Orioles at Camden Yards.
Joe Saunders (13-5) got the win as he gave up four runs -- three earned -- on six hits with a pair of walks and strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings of work for the Angels, who have won three straight and eight of nine overall.
Juan Rivera added a solo home run while Torii Hunter hit a two-run double for Anaheim, which kicked off a 10-game road trip.
Brian Burres (7-7) was saddled with the loss as he lasted just 1 2/3 innings and gave up five runs on seven hits for the Orioles, who have dropped their last four games. Kevin Millar had a pair of solo home runs in the loss.
The Orioles dropped two of three to the Angels earlier in the season.
