Bourbonnais, IL (Best E Casino) - Star kick returner Devin Hester ended his two-day holdout and reported to Bears camp on Friday. Hester, who has two years remaining on the original four-year deal he signed as a rookie, sat out the first two days of camp because he is unhappy about not receiving a contract extension. A second-round pick, selected 57th overall out of Miami in 2006, the converted cornerback told the Chicago Tribune that he wouldn't report to camp until he received a new deal, but that apparently changed by Friday. Hester broke the NFL's record for kick returns for touchdowns as a rookie with five, then set a new record last season with six, putting him only two shy of Brian Mitchell's career mark of 13 entering just his third season in the league. The Bears slowly transitioned Hester into their offense last season, when he caught 20 passes for 299 yards and two touchdowns. The club is expected to increase his playing time with the offense this season, from 10-12 snaps per game to 30-35.
