Oakville, ON (Best E Casino) - Sean O'Hair, Jason Day, Chez Reavie and John Huston joined Mike Weir, Anthony Kim and Eric Axley in the lead when the first round of the Canadian Open was completed Friday morning. O'Hair, Day, Reavie and Huston finished off rounds of six-under 65 to tie the other three players who had completed their rounds Thursday night before play was suspended due to darkness. A weather delay of more than five hours interrupted the first round on Thursday, and half of the field was forced to return to Glen Abbey Golf Club on Friday morning to finish up. The second round was already underway when the last players completed their first 18 holes. The last wave of tee times Friday were pushed back to 4:05-6:05 p.m. (et), meaning another suspension due to darkness was inevitable. Scott McCarron and John Senden carded matching five-under 66s and were one shot behind the leaders after the first round. Defending champion Jim Furyk played the final nine holes of his first round and posted a 70.
