St. Louis, MO (Best E Casino) - The Milwaukee Brewers reinstated pitcher Jeff Suppan from the 15-day disabled list for a scheduled start opposite St. Louis' Kyle Lohse on Tuesday. Suppan was placed on the DL July 7 with joint irritation in his right elbow, while simultaneously making room on the roster for newly acquired CC Sabathia. The right-hander sports a 5-6 record with a 4.71 earned run average in 18 starts this season for the up-and-coming Brewers. The 33-year-old veteran is in his second season with Milwaukee, his sixth team in a 14-year career in which he has compiled a 123-119 record with a 4.61 ERA. In a corresponding move, the club optioned pitcher Mitch Stetter back to Triple-A Nashville. Stetter compiled a 2-1 record with a 2.78 ERA in 23 relief appearances for Milwaukee this season.
