San Antonio, TX (Best E Casino) - The San Antonio Spurs announced the re- signing of forward/center Kurt Thomas on Tuesday. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. A 13-season veteran, Thomas was acquired by the Spurs on February 20 in a trade with the Seattle SuperSonics in exchange for Brent Barry and Francisco Elson. In 28 games for the Spurs the 35-year-old averaged 4.5 points and 4.9 rebounds in 18.7 minutes per game. Thomas played in all 17 playoff games for San Antonio, averaging 4.1 points and 4.9 rebounds in 15.8 minutes. The TCU product averaged 6.3 points and 7.2 rebounds per game in 70 games between San Antonio and Seattle last season. In 817 career games with the Heat, Mavericks, Knicks, Suns, Sonics, and Spurs Thomas has averaged 9.7 points and 7.4 rebounds in 27.3 minutes. |
