Denver, CO (Best E Casino) - The Colorado Rockies reinstated shortstop Troy Tulowitzki and pitcher Kip Wells from the 15-day and 60-day disabled lists, respectively, on Monday.

Wells made his scheduled start opposite Dodgers pitcher Eric Stults and was torched for seven hits and eight runs -- seven earned -- in just one-third of an inning as the Dodgers outslugged the Rockies, 16-10 at Coors Field.

Tulowitzki was placed on the DL for the second time this season July 5 after slicing his palm while slamming a bat into the ground. Rockies manager Clint Hurdle chose to publicly admonish Tulowitzki for the incident, which took place when he was replaced in a wild come-from-behind 18-17 victory over the Marlins July 4.

The 23-year-old was mired in an extended slump to start the season, then missed 46 games with a torn left quadriceps tendon before being activated June 20. Tulowitzki is batting .166 with three home runs and 16 runs batted in through 39 games this season.

However, he did his part to help the Rockies in his first game back, going 5-for-5, driving in a run and scoring one in the loss.

Wells, 31, has missed 74 games since being placed on the DL April 30 with a blood clot in his right hand. He underwent successful surgery to remove the clot May 6.

In corresponding moves, infielder Joe Koshansky and pitcher Juan Morillo were optioned to Triple-A Colorado Springs. Koshansky batted .182 (4-for-22) in eight games while Morillo appeared in one game since being recalled July 18, tossing a scoreless inning.
