Toronto, ON (Best E Casino) - Kerry Joseph scampered for the game-winning touchdown run to cap a 109-yard drive with less than a minute remaining, as the Toronto Argonauts came away with a thrilling 35-31 comeback win in the back end of a home-and-home against the Edmonton Argonauts

Joseph was brilliant with his arm and his legs, throwing for 343 yards and a touchdown on 22-of-38 efficiency and rushing for 118 yards and the go-ahead score. Rookie James Robinson, who made his CFL debut in last week's 47-28 loss to Edmonton, recorded 10 receptions for a whopping 194 yards and a TD. Dominique Dorsey added 62 yards on the ground to go with a touchdown run.

Edmonton's Ricky Ray finished with 295 yards and a touchdown on 20-of-33 passes. Fred Stamps was a recipient of five balls for 112 yards and a score, while Kamau Peterson hauled in four catches for 103 yards. A.J. Harris compiled a team-high 52 rushing yards on nine carries, as the Eskimos fell to 2-2 on the year.

Trailing 31-28, the Argos took the ball at their own goal line with less than two minutes left in the game. Using quick strikes in the passing game, Toronto worked its way down the field and were aided by a roughing the passer penalty.

On the 11th play of the drive, Joseph called his own number and rushed through the right side of the offensive line, somersaulting over defenders and into the end zone for the 13-yard game-winning touchdown. The 109-yard drive lasted just one-minute, 16 seconds.

Edmonton's Noel Prefontaine knocked in field goals of 40 and 42 yards to account for the only scoring in the first quarter.

Mathieu Bertrand pounded home a one-yard touchdown early in the second quarter to make it a 13-0 game, but Jeff Johnson countered with an eight-yard score on his first carry of the season minutes later.

Tristan Jackson, who returned a punt and interception for a touchdown last week, took the ensuing kickoff 94 yards for a TD to regain the Eskimos' 13- point lead.

Toronto notched a single later in the quarter before Joseph caught Robinson on a quick slant with just over two minutes left in the half. Robinson caught the ball in stride and left the Eskimo defenders in his dust, racing his way to a 90-yard touchdown.

Prefontaine knocked in a single just before the half and Edmonton led 21-15 at the break.

Four minutes into the second half, Dorsey scampered for a seven-yard touchdown to tie the game.

The game remained tied until Ray lofted a ball down the sidelines intended for Stamps, who leaped and snagged the ball out of the air for 34-yard touchdown.

Mike Vanderjagt and Prefontaine traded field goals early in the fourth quarter before a Vanderjagt nailed a 47-yarder to make it a three-point game with 3:52 left.

Game Notes

This was the Eastern Conference's first win against the Western Conference in eight meetings this year...Jackson's special teams touchdown was the CFL's first kickoff touchdown of the 2008 campaign...Edmonton was in search of its first season sweep of Toronto since 2003 and first three-game winning streak since 2005.
