(Best E Casino) - The Boston Red Sox will try to snap a four-game road losing streak this evening, as they wrap up a three-game set with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at Angel Stadium.

The Red Sox own the best home record in the major leagues, but they are just 21-31 away from Fenway Park.

On Saturday that trend continued, as Erick Aybar's pinch-hit, three-run triple sent LA to a 4-2 win. Vladimir Guerrero added a solo homer for the Angels, who have won four straight and five of their last six and now lead the majors with 59 victories.

Jose Arredondo (4-0) remained unbeaten on the year, notching the win by retiring one batter. Starter Joe Saunders was solid, yielding just six hits and a pair of runs over 6 2/3 frames.

Kevin Youkilis smacked a two-run home run for the Red Sox, who have now dropped nine of their last 11 on the road.

Josh Beckett (9-6) recorded the fifth complete game of his career but lost by allowing nine hits and four runs with six strikeouts and a walk.

The Red Sox will hand the ball to Tim Wakefield this evening and hope he can help them avoid a fifth straight loss to the Angels. The right-hander has had his knuckleball working of late, posting a 2.13 ERA over his past nine starts.

In his most recent appearance, Wakefield was brilliant, limiting the Baltimore Orioles to one earned run and just two hits over seven strong innings of a 12-1 victory on July 12th. He has now allowed one run or less three of his last four starts.

Wakefield, though, has struggled a bit in his career against the Angels, logging a 9-11 record with a 4.79 ERA in 27 appearances, 22 starts. He is also just 1-4 with a 4.04 ERA in 11 road starts this season.

Countering for the Angels will be Jon Garland, who is coming off his worst effort of the season. On July 11, the right-hander was pounded for seven earned runs and 10 hits in just 2 2/3 innings of a 9-2 loss to the Oakland Athletics.

Garland hasn't had all that much success against Boston in his career, going 4-5 with a 5.57 ERA in 13 appearances, 10 starts. He, however, did defeat the Red Sox back on April 23rd, allowing four earned runs and eight hits over six innings of a 6-4 triumph.

The Angels took two of three from the Red Sox when these clubs clashed at Fenway Park from April 22-24. It was a small measure of revenge for Los Angeles, which lost six of 10 against Boston last year before getting swept in the 2007 ALDS by the eventual world champs.
