(Best E Casino) - Cole Hamels shoots for his 10th win of the season this afternoon when the Philadelphia Phillies play the rubber match of their three- game series with the Florida Marlins at Dolphin Stadium.

Hamels, who many felt was an All-Star snub, is 9-6 on the season with a 3.15 earned run average. Hamels did not get a decision in his final start before the break last Sunday against Arizona, as he allowed two runs and 11 hits in seven innings of his team's 6-3 win.

The 24-year-old lefty is 0-1 with a 5.93 ERA in two starts this season versus the Marlins and is 2-3 lifetime against them with a 4.78 ERA.

Florida, meanwhile, will counter with righty Josh Johnson, who will toe the rubber for just the second time this season following his recovery from Tommy John surgery last August.

Johnson faced the Los Angeles Dodgers on July 10 and allowed three runs and six hits in five innings, but did not factor in the decision of his team's 5-4 win.

Johnson has faced Philadelphia four times (two starts) and is 1-1 against them with a 5.52 ERA.

Florida gained some ground on the NL East-leading Phils on Saturday, as John Baker knocked in four runs and hit one of the Marlins' three home runs in the 9-5 victory.

Cody Ross finished a home run short of the cycle, while Jorge Cantu went 4- for-5 with two runs batted in to help the Marlins snap a two-game slide and move within 1 1/2 games of first place in the East.

Scott Olsen (6-4) threw the minimum five innings to pick up the win, allowing four runs -- three earned -- on eight hits and a pair of walks.

The Phillies' Kyle Kendrick (8-4), who came into the game unbeaten in his previous four outings, lasted just 4 1/3 innings after being touched for seven runs on 10 hits.

Pat Burrell went 3-for-5 with a double and two home solo home runs for Philly, which has dropped just two of its last six. Burrell also grounded out with the bases loaded in the ninth for the final out of the game.

Philadelphia has split its eight matchups with Florida this season and is 13-13 against it in the last 26 matchups.
