Anaheim, CA (Best E Casino) - The Anaheim Ducks added depth and size to their defense on Friday, signing defenseman Steve Montador to a one-year contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. Montador is coming off his best NHL season, posting eight goals, 23 points and 73 penalty minutes in 73 games for the Florida Panthers in 2007-08. The 28-year-old is heading into his seventh pro season, having skated for Calgary and Florida. He has posted 14 goals, 47 points and 461 minutes in penalties in 290 career contests. Montador appeared in the Stanley Cup Finals in 2004 with the Calgary Flames.
