New York, NY (Best E Casino) - Detroit selected Indiana University forward D.J. White with the 29th overall pick in the first round of the NBA Draft, but then traded him to Seattle for a pair of second-rounders. White headed to the SuperSonics for the rights to the 32nd and 46th picks. The 32nd selection was Alabama-Birmingham forward Walter Sharpe and the 46th pick was Brigham Young forward Trent Plaisted. White ended his career as Indiana's 16th all-time leading scorer with 1,447 points. He finished second in career field goal percentage (.562) at Indiana and became only the second Hoosier in the last 31 years to average a double- double, recording 17.4 ppg and 10.3 rpg as a senior.
