Washington, DC (Best E Casino) - Washington Nationals first baseman Nick Johnson will undergo arthroscopic surgery Tuesday to determine the extent of his right wrist injury. Johnson, who missed the entire 2007 season after recovering from a broken right leg, has been on the disabled list since mid-May after tearing a tendon in his right wrist during an at-bat against the New York Mets. It is the ninth consecutive season Johnson has sustained an injury, dating back to 2000, when he was in the New York Yankees' farm system. The 29-year-old was struggling prior to the injury, hitting just .220 with five home runs and 20 runs batted in through 38 games.
