(Best E Casino) - The Minnesota Twins take aim at their fifth straight win this evening when they continue their three-game series with the Arizona Diamondbacks at the Metrodome. Minnesota took the opener of this set on Friday, as Craig Monroe belted a two- run homer and Matt Macri also knocked in two runs, leading the Twins to a 7-2 victory. Carlos Gomez and Joe Mauer each had a double and an RBI for Minnesota, which has won six of seven overall. Scott Baker (3-2) took the win as he lasted six innings and yielded just one run on seven hits while striking out seven. Joe Nathan struck out the side in the ninth. Orlando Hudson had three hits and scored once for the D-Backs, who have lost four of their last six contests. Mark Reynolds drove in both runs for Arizona. Randy Johnson (4-5) was dealt the loss as he gave up all seven runs on 11 hits in eight innings of work. Toeing the rubber for the Twins this evening will be Nick Blackburn, who is 5-4 with a 3.87 earned run average in 14 starts. Blackburn was 0-2 in four trips to the hill before winning his latest start on June 11 at Cleveland. In the 8-5 victory over the Tribe, the right-hander limited the opposition to a pair of runs and seven hits in six innings of work. Blackburn has never faced Arizona. Micah Owings hasn't found the win column lately and will handle pitching duties for the D'Backs tonight. He has lost three straight decisions and is winless over the past four trips to the mound. Owings was reached for seven runs and eight hits over 5 1/3 innings of an 8-3 setback on June 15 to the Kansas City Royals. He has allowed at least four earned runs in each of his last four starts. The right-hander will make his first-ever appearance against the Twins.
