Philadelphia, PA (Best E Casino) - Tiger Woods collected his 14th major championship title Monday at the U.S. Open and when the official world golf rankings were released after the win, Woods sat atop the rankings for the 500th week.

Woods first moved to the top spot in 1997 months after collecting his first major title at The Masters.

Meanwhile, Rocco Mediate soared 111 places to No. 47 in the new rankings after his playoff loss to Woods at the U.S. Open.

Woods was again trailed by Phil Mickelson and Adam Scott. Geoff Ogilvy and Ernie Els exchanged places with Ogilvy up to fourth this week.

Sergio Garcia inched up a spot to sixth knocking Justin Rose down one to seventh. The following four remained the same with eighth-placed Steve Stricker trailed by Vijay Singh, Jim Furyk and K.J. Choi.

Stewart Cink moved to 12th and bumped Padraig Harrington down to 13th. Rory Sabbatini held steady in 14th, while Trevor Immelman was up to 15th and Henrik Stenson was down one to 16th.

Lee Westwood missed the U.S. Open playoff by one shot, but climbed three places to 17th. Luke Donald dipped a notch to 18th.

Miguel Angel Jimenez moved up two to 19th, while Anthony Kim slipped a spot to No. 20. Aaron Baddeley tumbled three places to fall out of the top 20 at 21st.
