CLEVELAND (AP) -San Diego Padres left fielder Scott Hairston was scratched from the lineup against the Cleveland Indians on Saturday night because of a hyperextended left elbow.

Hairston was examined by team doctors before the game and is listed as day-to-day.

Hairston is batting .231 with nine homers and 17 runs batted in. He's batting .333 (7-for-21) over his last six games.
