San Diego, CA (Best E Casino) - World No. 3 Adam Scott played a practice round on Saturday at Torrey Pines, site of next week's U.S. Open. According to the Golf Channel, the more important news was that Scott played that round with a broken finger on his right hand. Scott broke his right pinky three weeks ago, apparently involving the slamming of a car door, but managed to keep the injury quiet until this point. There is nothing posted on Scott's Web site about the finger, but on his blog Scott said, "Unfortunately I had to miss Jack Nicklaus' tournament last week due to a minor illness that set me back a week, however I am feeling better." The Australian is scheduled to play the first two rounds at the Open with world Nos. 1 and 2, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson. Woods is recovering from knee surgery and is expected to make his first appearance since The Masters. Scott hasn't played since the Players Championship, where he tied for 54th.
