East Rutherford, NJ (Best E Casino) - The Toronto Raptors made several roster moves Tuesday, signing free-agent guard Jannero Pargo and placing forward Lonny Baxter on the injured list with right knee tendinitis. Pargo played 13 games for the Los Angeles Lakers this season, scoring 14 points in 62 minutes before getting released January 7. He appeared in three games after that with the ABA's Long Beach Jam, averaging 14.0 points and 2.3 assists. He is expected to be in uniform for Tuesday night's game against the New Jersey Nets. Baxter, acquired December 1 in a six-player trade with Chicago, has averaged 4.2 points and 3.4 rebounds in 36 games with the Raptors. He is eligible to rejoin the active roster for a March 3 game in Washington. The Raptors also announced that they have waived retired center Eric Montross.
