Detroit, MI (Best E Casino) - The Detroit Tigers placed infielder Ramon Santiago and outfielder Clete Thomas on the 15-day disabled list on Friday, amidst several roster moves. Santiago suffered a separated left shoulder in Wednesday's game with the Oakland Athletics after diving for a ground ball in the seventh inning. He was 1-for-2 with a walk before leaving and is batting .361 (13-for-36) on the season with 11 runs batted in and 10 runs scored in 18 games. Thomas, who is batting .292 with five RBI in 65 at-bats this season, is suffering from a sprained right ankle. His placement on the DL is retroactive to June 4. The Tigers made four other transactions Friday. Right-handed pitcher Denny Bautista was activated from the disabled list; he had been sidelined since May 3 with right shoulder tendinitis. Righthanded pitcher Aquilino Lopez was placed on the bereavement list, while the club recalled outfielder Brent Clevlen from Triple-A Toledo and also purchased the contract of infielder Michael Hollimon.
