CLEVELAND (AP) -Tom Mastny will make his first major league start Tuesday night for the Cleveland Indians. Mastny was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo on Monday to rejoin Cleveland's bullpen. But he's being pressed into starting duty against the Texas Rangers because Jake Westbrook was scratched from his scheduled start. Westbrook is heading back to the disabled list because of right elbow inflammation. Mastny didn't have a decision and had a 10.80 ERA in two appearances for Cleveland before he was optioned to the Bisons on May 11. The right-hander went 1-0 with a 3.14 ERA in 11 appearances for Buffalo. The struggling Indians defeated the Rangers 13-9 Monday night, hitting four home runs for the first time this season.Copyright © 2005 The Associated Press. All rights reserved.
