Pittsburgh, PA (Best E Casino) - Red Wings forward Tomas Holmstrom was not in the lineup for Detroit's 2-1 victory in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals Saturday.

Holmstrom suffered an apparent leg or hamstring injury during Wednesday's 3-2 loss in Game 3 in Pittsburgh, when Penguins defenseman Hal Gill lifted the veteran forward off the ice and dumped him into the Pens' net.

Despite an extra day of rest between games, Holmstrom felt discomfort in the pre-game skate and decided to sit. The 35-year-old had compiled four goals and 12 points in 19 games this postseason.

Dan Cleary took his spot on the Wings' first line, while Darren McCarty was inserted into the lineup for the first time since Game 1.
