Cincinnati, OH (Best E Casino) - The Pittsburgh Pirates activated shortstop Jack Wilson from the 15-day disabled list Tuesday. Wilson finished 3-for-5 in his return to the lineup during a 9-6 defeat to the Cincinnati Reds. He went 4-for-12 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored while making four starts at shortstop during a rehabilitation stint at Triple-A Indianapolis. To make room on the active roster, the Pirates optioned shortstop Brian Bixler to Indianapolis. Bixler, who has played 29 games this season at shortstop, including 24 starts, was hitting .175 with two RBI for the parent club.
