(Best E Casino) - The Kansas City Royals will try to bring their five-game losing streak to an end today when they resume a four-game series with the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre.

The Royals have struggled to produce runs during their current skid, as they have been held to one run or less three times during the stretch.

On Friday, Roy Halladay tossed his major league-leading fifth complete game of the season to lead the Jays to a 7-1 victory.

Halladay (5-5) allowed only one run on four hits, needing 104 pitches to earn the win. He did not issue a walk, fanned five and retired the last 15 batters in order and 22 of the last 23 hitters.

Marco Scutaro tied a career-high with four RBI on a pair of singles and Lyle Overbay finished a perfect 3-for-3, scoring twice with an RBI and a walk. Scott Rolen and Alex Rios each added two hits and scored twice for the Blue Jays, victors in eight of their last 11.

Jose Guillen drove in the sole run for the Royals, who were coming off a four- game sweep at the hands of the Boston Red Sox.

Zack Greinke (5-2) surrendered six runs on nine hits and two walks over five innings, matching his shortest outing of the season. Greinke had not allowed more than three runs in any of his previous nine starts this season.

Getting the call for the Royals today is Luke Hochevar, who will be trying to rebound from his worst start of the season. In a 7-0 loss to Boston on Monday, the rookie right-hander was tagged for seven runs - four earned - and five hits in six innings of work. He walked six batters and fanned two.

Hochevar, who is 3-3 with a 4.29 ERA on the season, has had some struggles on the road this season, compiling just a 1-2 mark with a 6.48 ERA in six starts.

In his only career appearances against the Jays on April 26th, Hochevar allowed just one earned run over six innings of a 2-1 triumph at home.

Toronto will look to keep their winning ways going behind the arm of Jesse Litsch. The right-hander is returning to the starting rotation after throwing three innings of relief against the Philadelphia Phillies on May 16th.

Litsch has had success as a starter this season and is 3-0 with a 2.67 ERA over his last four starts. He hasn't allowed more than three earned runs and has lasted at least seven innings in three of his past four starts. He is 5-1 overall with a 4.22 ERA on the year.

In two career appearances against Kansas City, Litsch is an even 1-1 with a 1.98 ERA. He defeated the Royals earlier this season, yielding just one earned run and five hits over seven innings of a 5-2 victory on April 27th.

The Royals won two of three versus Toronto at home in late April and have taken four of their last seven against the Jays.
