Los Angeles, CA (Best E Casino) - UCLA guard Josh Shipp announced Sunday that he will enter his name into the 2008 NBA Draft, but will not hire an agent, leaving open the possibility that he could return for his senior season.

Shipp is the fourth Bruins starter to announce his intention to enter the draft in the past month, doing so just a day after junior point guard Darren Collison announced he would return to school. Earlier this month, freshman center Kevin Love, junior forward Luc-Richard Mbah a Moute and sophomore guard Russell Westbrook all announced they would test the draft waters, and Shipp's potential departure could leave the Final Four squad further depleted.

"After speaking with my family and with Coach (Ben) Howland, I think I should test the NBA waters to get some feedback," Shipp said. "I feel like it really can't hurt me at this time. I want to go through the process this year, which will serve as a positive experience for me in my future development."

A 6-foot-5 swingman from Los Angeles, Shipp averaged 12.2 points and 3.2 rebounds during the 2007-08 season and was named an honorable mention All- Pac-10 selection. A member of three consecutive Final Four teams during his three seasons in Westwood, Shipp set a program record by starting in all 39 games as a junior, and currently ranks 32nd on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,254 career points.

Shipp, a product of LA prep powerhouse Fairfax High School, is eligible to return to school provided he does not sign with an agent and withdraws his name from the draft by the NBA's June 16 deadline.
