(Best E Casino) - The NBA-worst
Miami Heat try to win their second straight game, as they host the
Memphis Grizzlies tonight at AmericanAirlines Arena.
The last time Miami won two in a row was December 9-10. That is the only time this season that the Heat have won back-to-back games.
Kasib Powell scored a career-high 18 points as Miami picked up a come-from- behind 95-88 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday at AmericanAirlines Arena.
Chris Quinn and Ricky Davis both scored 16 points to help the Heat snap a seven-game losing streak. Davis also led Miami with eight rebounds, while Earl Barron and Mark Blount ended with 13 points apiece.
Miami is a brutal 8-31 at home this season. The Heat will visit Cleveland on Sunday and Toronto on Monday before returning home to close out an abysmal campaign on April 16 against the Denver Nuggets.
Memphis attempts to get back on the winning track against the Heat. Amare Stoudemire scored 28 points and pulled down 11 rebounds, as the playoff-bound Phoenix Suns topped the Grizzlies, 127-113, at FedExForum.
Rudy Gay finished with 36 points and eight rebounds for the Grizzlies, who have lost two of their last three games. Rookie Mike Conley chipped in 19 points before fouling out for Memphis, which has dropped six of its last nine games overall.
The Grizzlies are a dismal 7-31 as the visitor this season. They will host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday, and will wrap up the season with road contests against Portland and Denver.
On January 6 at FedExForum, Gay finished with 22 points, seven rebounds and five assists to help the Grizzlies defeat Miami, 101-94.
Memphis has lost four straight after winning its last two at Miami.
If the Grizzlies win tonight, they would sweep the season series from the Heat for the first time since the 2002-03 campaign.
