Golden State Warriors attempt to get back on the winning track, as they welcome the
Sacramento Kings tonight to ORACLE Arena.
Golden State is tied with the Denver Nuggets for the eighth and final playoff berth in the Western Conference.
The Warriors are scheduled to host the Nuggets on Thursday.
Golden State plays the opener of a three-game homestand tonight. The Warriors are 25-12 at home this season.
On Sunday, Chris Paul compiled the fourth triple-double of his career with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists as the New Orleans Hornets maintained their advantage for the top spot in the Western Conference with a 108-96 whipping of the Warriors at New Orleans Arena.
Monta Ellis exploded for 35 points, 10 rebounds and four steals for the Warriors, who have dropped three of their last four games overall. Andris Biedrins contributed 17 points and 15 rebounds, while Baron Davis collected 17 points and eight assists in defeat.
Sacramento fell to the Lakers, 114-92, on Sunday at ARCO Arena. Kevin Martin led the Kings with 22 points, while Ron Artest, who returned to the starting lineup after a thumb injury, ended with 19 points and Sheldon Williams came off the bench to score 12 in defeat.
The Kings are 12-27 on the road this season. They return home for a three-game homestand after tonight's contest versus Portland, New Orleans and San Antonio.
The Warriors are 2-1 against the Kings this season. Sacramento has lost three straight at Golden State.
