(Best E Casino) - The Dallas Mavericks continue their push to earn a playoff berth, as they welcome the Seattle SuperSonics tonight to American Airlines Center.

Dallas is No. 7 in the Western Conference, and sits two games ahead of the Golden State Warriors and Denver Nuggets.

The Mavericks play the opener of a two-game homestand on Tuesday. Dallas, which is 31-7 at home this season, will host the Utah Jazz on Thursday at American Airlines Center.

Reigning MVP Dirk Nowitzki poured in 32 points and pulled down 12 rebounds as Dallas roared back to beat Phoenix, 105-98, on Sunday at US Airways Center. Josh Howard finished with 24 points and nine boards for the Mavericks, who outscored the Suns 27-9 in the fourth quarter.

Seattle begins a three-game road trip against the Mavericks tonight. The SuperSonics will visit Houston on Wednesday and San Antonio on Friday in the final two games of the swing.

The SuperSonics attempt to win back-to-back games for the first time since they captured three in a row from January 29 - February 2.

Rookie Kevin Durant poured in a career-high 37 points, hitting a pair of three-pointers that forced two different overtime periods, as Seattle defeated Denver, 151-147, in a double-overtime marathon at KeyArena. Durant also grabbed eight rebounds and dished out nine assists in the victory.

Jeff Green, who is also finishing up his rookie campaign, scored a career-best 35 points to go along with 10 rebounds for the SuperSonics.

The Mavericks are 2-0 against Seattle this season and have won 12 in a row in the series. The SuperSonics have lost five straight and 10 of their last 11 at Dallas.

Seattle will host the Mavericks on April 13 at KeyArena.

The last time the SuperSonics defeated the Mavericks was on December 9, 2004 at Dallas.
