(Best E Casino) - One of the biggest rivalries in all of sports will close the book on another season series tonight, as the Toronto Maple Leafs visit the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre in the regular-season finale for both clubs.

Having already clinched the Northeast Division title, the Canadiens are currently tied for the top seed in the Eastern Conference with Pittsburgh, which is off tonight before ending its regular season Sunday in Philadelphia. Montreal needs to finish higher in points than the Penguins to secure the top spot, as Pittsburgh would win a tiebreaker against the Habs.

Although the Maple Leafs have been eliminated from the postseason, they still would like to wrap up the season series against Montreal on a positive note. In fact, Toronto has won the series already, as it has posted a 4-1-2 record in the seven meetings between the clubs.

Despite winning two of their last three tilts in Quebec, the Maple Leafs have dropped four of six and six of their last nine at the Bell Centre.

Montreal has won two straight and six of its last seven games overall. The only loss for the Habs in that stretch came in a 4-2 setback at Toronto on March 29.

The Canadiens notched a win in their latest contest, as they eliminated Buffalo from the postseason with Thursday's decision at the Bell Centre. Bryan Smolinski scored two goals to lead the Habs to the 3-1 triumph.

Chris Higgins also lit the lamp for the Canadiens, and rookie Carey Price stopped 27-of-28 shots to earn his 23rd win of the season.

Montreal is 21-13-6 as the hosts this season and has won three straight and four of its last five on home ice.

The Maple Leafs, meanwhile, have dropped two straight since defeating the Canadiens on March 29.

Toronto's most recent setback came in blowout fashion, as the Ottawa Senators notched an 8-2 road thrashing of the Leafs on Thursday. Antoine Vermette recorded his first career hat trick and added an assist to lead the Senators to the easy win at Air Canada Centre.

Mark Bell and Dominic Moore each scored a goal for the Maple Leafs, who have dropped four of their last five games. Vesa Toskala was rocked for eight goals on 37 shots in the loss.

Toronto is 18-17-5 as the visiting team this year, but has won six of seven and eight of its last 10 road tests.
