San Antonio, TX (Best E Casino) - Tony Parker scored 26 points, dished out seven assists and grabbed four rebounds as the San Antonio Spurs pounded the Golden State Warriors, 116-92, at the AT&T Center.

Tim Duncan added 17 points and 12 boards for the Spurs, who have won eight in a row. They are 32-6 at home this season and have also won five straight as the hosts. Manu Ginobili tallied 16 points off the bench, while Michael Finley and Bruce Bowen ended with 13 and 12, respectively, in starting roles.

San Antonio is tied with New Orleans for the top spot in the Southwest Division and the Western Conference.

Baron Davis poured in a team-high 19 points for Golden State. The Warriors are seeded ninth, a half-game behind Denver for the final playoff berth in the West. The Nuggets outlasted the Phoenix Suns, 126-120, on Tuesday.

The Spurs were strong from the opening tip, posting 35 points in the first quarter. Golden State nearly matched the effort though, pulling in front, 34-33, on a pair of Andris Biedrins free throws with 25 seconds left. A Fabricio Oberto layup then put the home squad on top heading to the second stanza.

The Warriors surged ahead, 38-37, about three minutes later. San Antonio responded with a 13-4 push, however, that was capped by a Parker layup with 3:48 remaining in the first half.

Golden State briefly stopped the bleeding, but the Spurs sustained the momentum and it was 60-51 at the break.

The visitors pulled within 75-73 with about 2:40 remaining in the third, but San Antonio closed it out with an 11-0 burst, sealed by Parker's running jumper.

An 18-6 start in the fourth officially put the game out of reach. The flurry included four shots from long range, including back-to-back treys by Finley before an Oberto layup made it 104-79 with 7:47 remaining in the contest.

Monta Ellis had 14 points and C.J. Watson ended with 13 for the Warriors.
