(Best E Casino) - Two teams fighting for playoff positioning square off tonight, as the Philadelphia 76ers resume a three-game road trip against the New Jersey Nets at the Izod Center.

Philadelphia is currently seventh in the Eastern Conference playoff race, and opened the trek with a 91-88 setback on Sunday against the Cleveland Cavaliers at Quicken Loans Arena. Andre Iguodala scored 19 points in the loss, as Philadelphia fell for just the second time in its last eight games away from the Wachovia Center. The Sixers are a game off the fifth spot in the conference standings.

Andre Miller added 16 points and nine assists, while Lou Williams came off the bench to tally 17 points for the Sixers, who are 16-21 as the visitor this season. Philly will also visit the Atlanta Hawks at Philips Arena.

The Nets will close out a two-game homestand on Tuesday, and are 19-19 at the Meadowlands this season. They dropped a 123-115 decision to Phoenix on Saturday in the opener of the homestand.

Vince Carter had 32 points, seven boards and six assists for the Nets, who lost their second straight contest and sit three games behind Atlanta for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Richard Jefferson scored 20 points and Devin Harris added 13 in defeat.

New Jersey has dropped two straight, four of six and 11 of its last 16 games.

Tuesday's game between Philadelphia and New Jersey is the fourth and final meeting of the regular season. The Nets lead the 2007-08 series by a 2-1 count and have won three of four and eight of the last 14 matchups.

Philadelphia has lost three straight after winning its last two trips to the Meadowlands.
