New Jersey Nets welcome the
Atlanta Hawks to the Izod Center.
Atlanta owns a one-game advantage over the Nets for the eighth and final berth in East playoffs.
This is the fourth and final meeting between the clubs this season. New Jersey is 2-1 against the Hawks this season.
Atlanta has lost two straight and 11 of its last 12 at New Jersey.
The Hawks, who are 9-25 on the road this season, have won three in a row and conclude a three-game road trip. Mike Bibby scored 23 points, including 5- of-6 from three-point land, to lead Atlanta to a 105-96 victory over the Washington Wizards on Monday at Verizon Center.
Joe Johnson poured in 18 points and dished out 10 assists for the Hawks, while Josh Smith totaled 17 points and eight boards in the victory, Josh Childress scored 16 points and rookie Al Horford contributed 12 points and 15 rebounds.
Atlanta returns home to host Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic on Saturday at Philips Arena.
New Jersey opens a two-game homestand. On Tuesday, Luol Deng scored a team- high 20 points to lead five Bulls in double figures, as Chicago downed the Nets, 112-96, at the United Center.
Vince Carter poured in 22 points to pace the Nets, who had a two-game winning streak halted. Richard Jefferson netted 21 and Marcus Williams scored 16 off the bench for New Jersey, which has dropped seven of its last nine games overall.
The Nets will host Allen Iverson and the Denver Nuggets on Friday at the Izod Center. New Jersey is 17-17 at home this season.
