New York, NY (Best E Casino) - The New York Rangers acquired defenseman Christian Backman from the St. Louis Blues in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft prior to the league's trade deadline Tuesday. Backman, 27, has one goal and nine assists in 45 games with the Blues this season. The 6-foot-4, 210-pounder has scored 19 goals and tallied 45 assists in 228 career games in the NHL, all with St. Louis.
